Trying to remember the name of the book/author, where each chapter was a true but fascinating story about a fruit or vegetable. Especially remember the true story of Johnny Appleseed, where most of his seeds were used to grow inedible apples that were mostly used for making alcoholic cider…a more prized commodity in the pioneer west than fresh fruit.
