For an english project I have to read a book by a non american author. I just want something interesting that I will like, but most books seem to be so boring. Something that isn’t for kids. I really like Twilight, Gossip Girl, and pretty much all of those teen girl books.

There was a passage during my SATs where we were required to read a passage and answer questions. The author was describing a train and compared it to a steel horse to emphasize power and speed. It was beautifully written and I want to know where it was from. Thanks! :)

buff asked:

Trying to remember the name of the book/author, where each chapter was a true but fascinating story about a fruit or vegetable. Especially remember the true story of Johnny Appleseed, where most of his seeds were used to grow inedible apples that were mostly used for making alcoholic cider…a more prized commodity in the pioneer west than fresh fruit. Thanks.

Need to know the title and/or author of book that tells about a comet passing close to earth making zombies?

Sailor asked:

In the book the media start calling it Lazarus Syndrome because the dead don’t stay dead and start to rise. The first case is a black man trying to kill/eat his family and the cops think he’s on PCP because bullets won’t bring him down. The comet that travels close to the earth makes people sick and I believe it casts a weird sickly light to the daytime. I vaguely remember a part in the book where someone has to break in somewhere and I think they’re may
be some zombies that become intelligent. I just can’t remember the title or author and I think it’s the best undead fiction I’ve ever read.
