I’m doing a book project for my school and we were told to imagine that we were having a conversation with the author and as we read particular passages, we are to question the way that the author writes.
Example questions: Why does he/ she provide particular details? Why does he/she use particular imagery? Why select particular diction? Why use a particular style of language?
I’m at a loss as to what to ask and i just need some general questions that I could ask.

I’m reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the moment, and I’m thrilled with Ken Kesey. His writing style, at least so far, is exactly the kind I love. The imagery is wonderful.

Is there an author you’re happy to have discovered this year? Did you perhaps rediscover an author?

There was a passage during my SATs where we were required to read a passage and answer questions. The author was describing a train and compared it to a steel horse to emphasize power and speed. It was beautifully written and I want to know where it was from. Thanks!
